QUITTER CHECKLIST
So you finally decided enough was enough and you’re ready to say “f*ck it” and quit? Let’s go!
- [ ] Write out rough plan for quitting (see Brainstorming The Big Quit document)
- [ ] Tell family and friends about your plans
- [ ] Schedule doctors’ visits while company insurance is still active (see Quitters Benefits Guide)
- [ ] Draft email/letter of resignation
- [ ] Put in 2’ weeks notice at work
- [ ] Send out email to work peers about your departure and where they can contact you
- [ ] Have an exit interview with HR
- [ ] Clean out desk
- [ ] Delete physical & digital files from work computer (make sure you start transferring over important personal information you need to keep from work computers before you put in your notice)
- [ ] Celebrate the big leap!
